Ride to Dayton Airport (June 13-14)

Start: ALR Post 79, Zionsville.

Leg 1: Take Pleasant View Rd, E 300 S, W 146th St, & SR-38 to US-36 E toward Pendleton.

Leg 2: Follow US-36 E to US-27 S (Lynn, IN), then back to US-36 E into Ohio.

Leg 3: Turn right on OH-121 S, then Hogpath Rd to SR-49 S.

Leg 4: Left on N Montgomery Co Line Rd, then N Main St to E Martindale Rd.

Finish: Follow US-40 E to the Dayton Int’l Airport exit. Merge onto Terminal Dr.

Ending Location:

Dayton Int’l Airport from US-40 E/I-70ALT/W National Rd
Dayton, Ohio

Charity Beneficiary:

The “Free Flags for Vets” initiative:
Goal: Provide and install U.S. flags and poles for Zionsville/Boone County veterans at no cost by Veterans Day 2026.
Options: Choice of a 20ft in-ground pole ($185–$295) or a 6ft house-mount pole ($60–$100).
Funding: Seeking $1,500 through sponsorships ($100–$250) and earmarked proceeds from Legion rides/raffles.
Action: Riders will form teams to handle all physical installations.

Join American Legion Riders Chapter 79 on Saturday, June 13th, for a scenic ride to the Dayton Air Show to see the U.S. Navy Blue Angels!
We’re riding to support our “Free Flags for Veterans” program, ensuring every local veteran can fly the colors with pride.
Staging: 8:30 AM @ Post 79 (Zionsville)
Kickstands Up: 9:30 AM Sharp
Route: Scenic backroads via US-36
Registration: $20 per bike / $10 per passenger
